In accordance with our recent transition to LiveStats V7 we have developed minimum and recommended PC spec guidelines that need to be complied with to ensure LiveStats V7 functions optimally while scouting.
Please see the specs below:
CPU: Dual Core I3 Processor (no ARM processors)
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Drive: HDD with at least 1GB available
The lowest resolution 1366x768
Please note that Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported by Genius Sports for use with LiveStats. This is not to say that LiveStats will not operate on XP or Vista however we will no longer test on these operating systems and therefore no longer provide support in relation to these two platforms. Windows 7, 8 or 10 are the preferred operating systems (either 32 or 64 bit) as they will both support LiveStats far better.
In regards to venue internet connectivity we strongly recommend hard-wired network connections (e.g. ethernet cable) over your local network to your internet modem. To consistently connect to the internet we recommend a network connection with at least a 3Mbit downstream speed and 800Kbit upstream speed. For the reasons mentioned above we strongly recommend AGAINST Cellular (3G/4G/LTE) network connections.
WiFi connections are still an option however the reliability of such connections can be impaired when there are multiple people inside the venue which can in turn effect the stability of a Webcast. Any spectator with a smartphone in your venue (even if connected to another network) will affect the reliability of your WiFi or cellular connection. With a large number of spectators present this connection can be inconsistent and slow (even if it tests well).
Please also note that a PC being used to operate LiveStats should be dedicated solely to this purpose during a game and not have multiple software applications running while a game is being scouted (aside from standard applications such as Anti-Virus software) as this can significantly impair the performance of LiveStats and jeopardise the Webcast connection.
